The majestic Promontory of Portofino, an offshoot of the Apennine Mountains, towers above the area at an altitude of 600 metres.

Inlets, beaches and little harbours break the steep, rugged shoreline, creating the extraordinarily beautiful scenery which has made this coast famous all around the world.

Hike to S. Fruttuoso abbey - 500m+

9,00 500+ 3 hrs hike to San Fruttuoso abbey through a spectacular challenging route through high cliffs (EE only for expert hikers) or in alternative from a beautiful path between mediterranean forest and spectacular sea views. Coming back by boat (30 min) or on foot (3 hrs)

Hike to the Portofino Peninsula - 1000m+

8,00 hike all the Portofino Peninsula in one day with a challenging rock and sea route (EEA – fixed rope – exposed, in alternative E) that leads you to the worldwide famous San Fruttuoso abbey of IX century, then continues to the enchanting Portofino village and ends in Santa Margherita Ligure.

About 7 hrs 1000 m +. coming back to Camogli by train not before 17,30.

A cape where the sea is often rough and the views are really spectacular. To reach this point the excursion leads you along a characteristic 1000 stairs trail!
